Obituary
Donna Jones Burns passed away in Carrollton, TX on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. She was 69 years old. Donna was born on September 23, 1947 in Lorenzo, TX. She grew up in the Texas panhandle, and attended Texas Tech University, McMurray University, and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Though holding different jobs through the years, the latter part of her life was spent helping battered women and children. Donna loved the Lord and was a loving mom and grandmother. Donna was preceeded in death by her mother, Margie Marcelle Jones, her father, JC Jones, and one son, Michael Burns. Donna is survived by: Her children: Daughter, Krystal Ward, and husband David of Dallas, TX and children Blake and Grant. Daughter, D’Aun Boliver, and husband John of Weatherford, TX and children Zach and Josh. Son, Josh Burns, and wife Theressa of Plainview, TX and children Wyatt, Abby, and Jordan. Her bonus children: Daugher, Julie Carnes, and husband Toot of Weatherford and child Brent. Son, Jimmy Burns, of Azle, TX and children Dwaine, Emmy Lou, and Cody. Daughter in love, Tracy Burns, of Aurora, MO and children Cory and Kevin. and seven great grandchildren her sister, Marjorie Bolander of LaVerne, CA and her brother, Rick Jones of Hemet, CA and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services are pending at Lorenzo Cemetery, US Highway 378, Lorenzo, TX 79343 Donna will be especially remembered for her sweet and giving spirit. She had an amazing way of making those around her feel loved. Memorial donations are welcome at Animal Rescue of Crosby County P.O.
