Obituary
Shayne Allison Silvertooth passed away on December 8, 2016, at the age of 49 years. Shayne was born July 17, 1967, in Overton, Texas, to Rickey Silvertooth and Margie Silvertooth Hammond. He graduated as salutatorian with honors from West Rusk High School in New London, Texas. Shayne then went on to receive his Bachelor and Master of Psychology from The University of Texas at Tyler. He worked in the counseling and mental health field for almost 25 years. Shayne was incredibly intelligent and kind. He was a talented musician with an affinity for playing guitar, writing his own lyrics, and producing, recording, and collecting all things music. He was an avid reader and lover of old films, scary movies, and the Hallmark, Food Network, and Sci-Fi channels. He was a gentle, loving man who sought out opportunities to help others often. Of all the joys he found in life, nothing was more important to him than his family. Shayne A. Silvertooth is survived by his parents; Rickey Silvertooth, Margie Silvertooth Hammond and John Hammond, sisters; Shawna Burger (Mark) and Traci Meroney (Peyton), daughter, Mia Silvertooth, grandson, Jace Mason, aunt, Melissa Haden (Michael), aunt, Peggy Stovall (Durell), aunt, Donna Silvertooth; nieces and nephews; Brenna Arthur, Madelyn Haden, Max and Will Meroney, and Brandon, Blake, and Bentley Burger; cousins, Brad, Brent, and Bryan Blanton; his closest friend of 30 years, Jason Jordan, as well as extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton, Texas, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. The address is 4141 International Parkway, Carrollton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation in Shayne’s name to Operation Kindness, a non-kill animal shelter.
