Harris, Katherine L.
Obituary
Katherine Harris passed away suddenly at the hospital on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the age of 66. She was born on February 18, 1950. Katherine is predeceased by her parents Evelyn & John Henry Smith, and brother Henry Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Hilary Harris. Lovingly remember by daughters, Shannon and Deanna Harris; son, James Harris. Grandsons, Nolan Stephens, James Harris, Anthony Harris, Andrew Harris, Austin McGraw; granddaughters, Kayla Harris, Katherine McGraw and Alexis Harris; sisters, Carolyn Harris, Patricia Blankenship and Michelle Media; brother Ricky Smith; and many nephews, nieces and cousins from both father and mother’s side of the family. She was a very loving and hard working person, wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She worked from the time she was a young teen to the time she was unable to work and was forced to retire because of medical reasons at the age of 48. She may not of had much but she gave a lot of herself and of her time until she couldn’t to anyone in need. She was a very outspoken lady even if you didn’t want to heat it because she would tell you the truth but wouldn’t judge. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts. A visitation will be on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with a celebration of life immediately following the visitation at the Aria Irving Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Dallas. Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site. Arrangements are under the direction of: Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home 1820 N. Belt Line Road Irving, Texas 75061 972-607-4400
