Clayton, Michael D.
Obituary
Michael David Clayton, age 70, passed away peacefully February 5, 2017 after a heroic battle with a lengthy illness. He was born December 29, 1946.
He graduated from the University of North Texas with an accounting degree. He was a consultant for Timberline for many years before his semi-retirement. He was an active participant in a variety of leadership roles with The Boy Scouts of America. Michael enjoyed being outdoors either at his deer lease where instead of hunting, he enjoyed cooking and sitting with friends around the campfire, or at his lake house his favorite place to be with family.
He will be forever loved by his wife of 48 years, Debbie. They met as teenagers on a blind date and it was love at first sight. He was so proud of his sons, Jason and Ryan, and the men they have become. Michael adored his three grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Family and friends will remember Michael as the nicest, kindest and most thoughtful man. He is survived by his wife Debbie, his son Jason and wife D’Anna, his son Ryan and wife Laura, his grandchildren, Kaylee, Carter and Duncan and his sister in law Cindy Sauls.
A Celebration of his Life is planned for Saturday March 4. For detailed information contact Ryan at rmc4907@hotmail.com or Jason at jasclay95@yahoo.com.
Memorial donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society at https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate or the American Heart Association https://donatenow.heart.org/.

Mike Clayton was one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life. Having lived across the street from Mike for many years, he never once said no if I called him needing help with anything! He was never to busy, or to tired, he would always find time to help me with anything!
The Clayton’s ALWAYS made EVERYONE feel at home in there home!! It was always the gathering spot for family and friends.
Mike will be missed by all that were lucky to have known him!

Mike Clayton was such a kind and gentle man and so very polite. Every time we saw him, he was so kind, sweet and helpful. We are only sorry that we didn’t meet him sooner here at the lake. Mike, anything that Debbie and your sons ever need, please know that we are here for them, always and forever!
You will truly be missed, and will NEVER be forgotten!
Mike and Terri Rambin
