Keane, Roberta "Robin" Ann

KEANE, ROBERTA (Robin), ANN (REECK) KEANE

Born on April 9, 1956 to Calvin and Margaret Reeck in St. Paul, Minnesota. Robin graduated from High School in St. Paul with fond memories of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) High School. Passed away on March 1, 2017 in Dallas, Tx.

Robin was married on May 6, 1978 to Steve Keane and they raised two extraordinary children named Ben and Maggie. Robin was mostly an at home mom, who devoted herself to the needs of her family, but worked many years outside of home as well.

Robin was honest, direct, opinionated, sometimes outlandish, but always very funny. She was easy to talk to because she had no agenda or pretense and was always interested in what you had to say.

Preceded in death by her father Calvin Reeck, brother Richard Reeck, sister Christine Schwendinger and nephew Daniel Schwendinger.

Robin is fondly remembered by: her mother Margaret Reeck, husband Steve Keane, son Benjamin Keane, his wife Julie Keane and kids Hayden and Indigo, daughter Margaret (Keane) Devlin, her husband Christopher Devlin and their daughter Piper, sister Cathy (Reeck) White and brother Carl Reeck: ………and everyone she ever met.

My memories of Robin begin in childhood. I quickly became best childhood friends with her daughter, Maggie, when they moved in across the street in Frisco. When I think back over the years, what comes to mind when I think of Robin is the space she held for us to be free, come of age, explore, express, laugh and dream. She had a unique sense of humor and a bluntness that taught me something about how to be real with people and not take life too seriously.

I also have a fond appreciation for the loyalty and commitment Robin has shown in her friendship with my mother, Kelly, over the years. The support and heart that moved through your friendship is admirable. You will be missed.

I speak prayers of love and support for the Keane family!

I never saw Robin when she wasn't smiling. Say hello to Cal and Rick for me Robin. Peace and love to Steve, Ma, Cathy, Carl and the family. Is it too much to ask that we keep the best ones here until after I leave?

We knew Robin and Steve through Kelly and Jerry. Many fond memories of bunkco , parties and just hanging out together. Robin was as hilarious as they come, highly intellegent , and a particular person who I adored within 5 minutes of meeting her. I loved Robin. She would help you with anything. I still fix her chicken noodle casserole all the time and people rave about it.
We all will miss this unique and extremely loving person, Robin was truly from the heart.
With love and wonderful memories,
Diane and Norm Kessel
