Judy, what a pleasure it has been to work with mom and you at VOLH. I am going to miss you all and I am so glad that in the immediate past she participated in so many of the activities. I will pray for your peace.
She was an angel, learned so much from her during my early days at IRS. She will be missed by many, but now she’s enjoying life to it’s fullest. God Bless you Gloria and your family.
My mom, Margie, is a resident at VOLH. Roy and Gloria were the first residents that greeted my mom and made her feel welcome by inviting her to sit with them at lunch. Mrs. Reynolds was just the most precious, sweet lady. My mom will miss Gloria’s kisses her on her forehead each day. She will be missed. Prayers for the family at this time.
Thank you Lord, for giving me a friends and Neighbors as Roy and Gloria Reynolds! Joy, laughter, and wisdom!
Thank you!
As one of Gloria and Roy’s younger cousins, I know I am speaking for us all when I say that she and Roy were iconic, bigger than life, heroic figures to us kids. Roy was the dashing, brave war hero we looked up and wanted to emulate, and Gloria was just beautiful and gracious beyond description. They were as glamorous – and idolized – as any Hollywood couple on the 1940’s silver screen! My family moved away, so I did not see them again until later, as an adult, at our last-most family reunion. Gratefully, I struck up an email correspondence with Cousin Gloria and we exchanged several emails, up to and during Roy’s transition to assisted living. I’m so glad I did, as she was every bit as gracious, compassionate and intelligent as I envisioned her to be as I was growing up, and then some. My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the family and extended family, as I know she will be greatly missed.
