Alexander, Timothy Ross
Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we are sharing the loss of a great musician, husband and family member, Tim Alexander. This Texas music legend was heralded from this world on April 8, 2017. Not ony has Tim left a hole in the music industry, but his family has lost their rock. His wife, Jennifer, was graced with his love for 20 years, and is especially devastated by the loss of her soul mate so suddenly. Tim was a gentle soul who was loved and respected by all who ever met him. His positive energy and kindness were part of the things that made him so special. His love of music, family and pets could not be denied. His band mates through the years include members of Asleep at the Wheel, Elvis T. Busboy & the Blues Butchers, as well as Reverend Horton Heat, and Jim Suhler, among multiple others. Tim’s keyboard playing and musical talents will be missed by many. His absence will be noticed forever. Tim is survived by his cherished wife, Jennifer, brother Brian Alexander (Yori), nephew Kevin Alexander and niece Leslie Alexander of Plano, and mother-in-law Louise Danna of Dallas, sister-in-law Sheila Holmes and her husband Mark Ralph of Valley View. If you would like to honor Tim’s memory, please make a donation in his name to: Dalmation Rescue of North Texas, P.O. Box 866081, Plano, TX 75086-6081, phone 972-250-DALS, or (www.dalpal.com). So sorry to hear about Tim this past weekend. I used to stop by to hear him play keyboard on Wednesday nights before he retired. We would sit and chat sometimes while he was on break. Nice gentleman and I’m sure he’ll be missed dearly. Praying for blessings and strength for Tim’s family.
Tim was an extraordinary musician and showman. I loved his work on the last Tommy Morrell CD, and really enjoyed his performance at AATW’s 40th Anniversary party in Austin a few years back. The music community is shocked at his sudden passing and reeling from the loss. Tim will always be remembered and his inspiration lives on.
Tim was a fixture in Little Forest Hills walking his cadre of dogs everywhere. It was a pleasure knowing him and I pray for his family’s comfort after their loss. I really think he has a very cool, fun, and interesting life.
Tim was the true professional musician and a much-loved human being. May the memory of Tim’s many admirable traits give comfort to family and friends.
Jennifer, we send our deepest condolences. Your loss cannot be compared to ours but, know that our hearts are hurting so much for our collective loss. Betty and Tim were welcome neighbors that enriched all of Little San Fernando. You may not know this, but Tim introduced the use of plastic bags to pick up the poop in the ‘hood. Prior to Tim picking up, every little bit, NO ONE picked these treasures.
Please note that this loss is felt so heavenly here in Denison and I am sure our heartache is felt around the world. Should you ever need anything, please contact us thru Cherry. Our love and “a Tim Hug” surrounds you.
I’m just a long time fan that had the good fortune to have seen an heard Tim do his thing many times over the years…Sorry to read of his passing..Prayers and condolences to his family, friends and fans…
