Hogue, Okki

Okki Son Garcia Hogue, 77, of Fayetteville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2017, while visiting friends in Texas.  She was born in South Korea to parents Son Dok Man and Yum Bok Im and immigrated to the United States in 1965.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by many.  Okki retired from the Irving, TX, Independent School District in 2007 after many years there and she greatly enjoyed interactions with staff, students, and faculty.  She was an active member of the Korean Baptist Church where she served as a deacon for many years.  She was a generous woman with a deep abiding faith in her Lord Jesus and she loved to spend time cooking, gardening, knitting, and reading her Bible.  Okki was preceded in death by her husband Cleve Hogue of Irving, TX, and is survived by daughter Linda (Kenneth) Kellar; grandsons Joshua (Katherine) Garcia and Jonathan Kellar; great-grandsons Alex, Eli, and Logan; all of Fayetteville, TN; and sister Ok Cha (Bill) Dukes of Dallas, TX.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 8th, at 6 p.m. at Huntsville Baptist Church, 2670 Johnson Road, Huntsville, Alabama, 35805
