Obituary
LoRita Jane Stevens Keig, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully on Saturday evening, April 22, 2017, with her family at her side. LoRita was devoted to her family and her Christian faith. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas for over half a century, she was an elder on the session, and a long-time member of the Marguerite Mizell Sunday School Class. She found a second church home at Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano in recent years. Before she married in 1960, LoRita was a science teacher, and remained passionate about education throughout her life. She was also an avid gardener and a gifted musician who enjoyed playing the piano for her friends and family. She was blessed to travel the world with her husband, Edward (Ned) Quincy Adams Keig before his death in 2003. LoRita is survived by her two sons, Eric Stevens Keig and Lowell Adams Keig, Lowell’s wife, Beth, grandsons Logan and Trevor, and granddaughter Eden. Funeral Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, 1835 Young St., on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel, with a reception to follow in the Parlor. Flowers may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marguerite Mizell Scholarship Fund c/o First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, or to a charity of your choice.
