Mary and Paul Baker were my dear friends. Another dear friend of theirs Maude Lester and I shared many rides to dances with Paul. After Paul’s death, I lost contact with Mary. I tried many times to call her at their Irving residence and dropped by their house, but she must have already moved. They were both good people and good friends–and funny! I think of them often and will always treasure the memories.
When I finished my Seminary degree at Wesley Theology Seminary in Washington DC I came to work in Houston at Westbury UMC as Jester’s associate Pastor.
No finer man ever drew a breath of air.I think of them often and my life has been blessed many times fold.
