Kerri was one of my daughters friends. Seems like they were always riding horses somewhere in Williamson Valley. She was one of the kids, one of my kids, that were in and out coming and going. It was all so right and carefree as a young persons life should be. To accept our loss is only made easier by the fact that I can go back into those memories and draw up the innocent laughter and shyness and joy that surrounded our special kids. This thing cancer is being played by the medical community in a way I find disgusting. There are good therapies out there that the powers that be will not let us apply, I am afraid for less than desirable reasons. I hope in the next few years we will get on the right track and I won’t have to have the heavy heart for those to young to die. We loved those kids and always will just because they were there! Even though I had not seen Kerri since she was little, what I remember most was her adorable smile. I’m sure she is smiling just as beautifully with the angels. My heart goes out to her family and hope that you all find the comfort you need in dealing with your great loss.
You were taken way too early. You will forever be in our hearts, our minds and our souls. We will see you again my friend. My condolences and prayers for your family. You will be missed dearly Kerri.

I grew up with Kerri through the Rainbow Girls and Demolay connection. I took Kerri to my Junior prom. We went in my neighbors red corvette that had mud splashed up the side after dropping off a friend in Hootinany Hollar (yep, there is a real place).
To the family; I am grateful for the positive impact you had in my life and I am sorry to hear the tragic news. May the Lord be near during this time of mourning. I will be praying for you.
