Reeder, Rosalie Marie
Obituary
Rosalie Marie Reeder passed away on August 23, 2017 at the age of 81 years, in Plano, Texas. She was born Rosalie Speicher on February 4, 1936 on a farm near Bellwood, Nebraska, to John and Julia Speicher. She was the youngest of six children and developed close relationships with many of her nieces and nephews. She met her husband, Ted Reeder, while working in Omaha, Nebraska, and they married on May 30, 1958. They raised two children together, and Rosalie worked as both a homemaker and a bookkeeper in her husband’s business. In 1979, they moved to Arlington, Texas, but Rosalie continued to subscribe to her hometown newspaper, the Banner-Press, until she died. Rosalie was devoted to her three grandchildren, Juliette, Vivian, and Kyle, and enjoyed her “Grandma Days” with each of them. She is survived by her husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Eric Reis; her son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Janée Reeder; and her nieces and nephews: Stephen Vrbka, Carol Speicher, Patricia Sweney, Daniel Vrbka, Marilee Grossnicklaus, John Speicher, Joan Speicher-Simpson, Sharon Headman, Edward Speicher, Gregory Schindler, Sara Dietrich, Bob Speicher, Mark Schindler, and Mark Speicher.
