Obituary

Terri Dee Glenn Luptowski, 54, of Richardson TX, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 9, 2017. She was born March 15, 1963, to David Daniel Glenn, Sr. and Frankie Louise Pike Glenn in Baytown Texas. She married Greg Luptowski on August 13, 1983 in Huntsville TX. Terri attended Principia College and Sam Houston Sate University. She worked in marketing and sales, and later debt collections, culminating in her becoming a CFO. However, her most important and rewarding career was her next and final one – being a dedicated mother to her two precious children, Branden Gregory Luptowski and Zoë Marina Luptowski, and loving wife to Greg. Terri’s joy, light, and spirit were a beacon to everyone around her. She radiated love and kindness to all and never knew a stranger. Rarely do you encounter someone who touches so many lives without trying and leaves a legacy of joy and love for so many friends, family, acquaintances, and more. To know or be around Terri was to experience life and joy in action. She was always the shining star, even when things seemed the bleakest. Terri’s character, strength, and drive were all grounded in her deep faith in God.  She knew that “with God all things are possible”, and she proved that time and time again, as she fought ferociously to overcome so many physical challenges and to disprove limits the medical community tried to place upon her.  She won each time and rose to a higher ground, both physically and spiritually. “No” was never an option nor a word in her vocabulary. Terri loved art in all its forms, and her home reflected the myriad of colors, beauty, and eclecticism of objects she lovingly chose and placed. She created an atmosphere of love, warmth, beauty, and hospitality, making her home the favorite spot for all the neighborhood kids, welcoming everyone. Each holiday the house was decorated to reflect all the wonderful elements that make each holiday so special.  Family holidays were always so important, whether she entertained in her home or visited and helped in family members’ homes. Fun, mirth, happiness, and exuberance were Terri’s trademark always, and she brought these with her wherever she went. Because Terri’s faith was so important to here, she made sure that her church home reflected what she believed. She found this second home for her family in First United Methodist Church Richardson, where she and her family were so warmly embraced and so very loved. In the darkest of times, FUMCR rose to the occasion helping Terri and the family to weather through many difficult storms. Because Terri believed in always giving back, she became very active not only in her church but in numerous school activities and community organizations. Terri is survived by her husband, Greg Luptowski, son Branden Gregory Luptowski, daughter, Zoë Marina Luptowski, all of Richardson, TX, sister Danna Glenn Love, of Houston, TX, brother, David Daniel (Danny) Glenn Jr and sister-in-law Rachel Glenn of Richmond TX, niece Jennifer Nicole Love and nephew, Andrew J. Love, both of Houston, extended family and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah (Debbie) Ray Glenn, her father, David Daniel Glenn, Sr., and her mother, Frankie Pike Glenn. Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 15, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080. Arangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

I’m so sorry for your loss, Terri was such a kind soul and will be missed by so many! I know you, her family, are hurting and that breaks my heart, but we have to hold onto the promise that we will see her again, and that she is in the presence of our Heavenly Father and in no pain. I hope you find comfort in knowing that, and I pray you have peace that only God can give. Love, Chris

Terri was a dear friend of our daughter Chris Turner Frey. Her parents, David and Frankie, were our friends in Huntsville. We all thought so highly of the family. Our deepest sympathy for their loss.

Dearest Greg and Branden and Zoe. At a loss for words. There are no words at a time like this. I loved Teri so much. She was one of a kind. God broke the mold and made her into an Angel. Look out for butterflies as she will be back to see you and look out for you. Much love from the Russell’s and family. Love

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
