Vespa, Harriet Kay
Obituary
Harriet Kay Vespa, age 76, passed away September 9, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the Belmont of Twin Creeks in Allen, Texas. She was the devoted wife to the recently deceased Reynold A. Vespa. In June of this year, they celebrated the 60th year of their marriage and enduring love. Harriet was born on November 13, 1940 in Easton Pa. to Harry and Catherine Worman. She is preceded in death by her older sister, Jacquelyn Kennedy. Harriet was the loving mother to three surviving daughters, Debra Marino and husband Tom, Renee Casciole, and Darlene Smith and husband Gene. She is lovingly referred to as Nannie or Nan by her surviving grandchildren, Tara Vespa, Kyle Casciole and wife Emma, Lindsay Roche, Katie Casciole Reynolds and husband Steven, Gene Smith and Zackery Smith, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her role as a stay at home mother, she supported Ren’s many business endeavors. She enjoyed gardening, arts & crafts and took pride in maintaining their beautifully decorated home. She was an excellent cook and often entertained family and friends. Harriet loved being near the water, vacationing at the Jersey Shore, later living on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and Lake Lewisville in Texas. She will be greatly missed by her family who love her dearly. A private family gathering to memorialize Harriet is being planned for later in the month.
