Obituary
Alice Roy Krane of Dallas, Texas passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Alice and Phil Roy. Predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Krane, her parents, and her siblings, Barbara Roy Hanssen and Phil Roy, Jr, Allie is survived by her children Scott (Katie) Henkel, Sarah (Chad) Weitzul, cherished grandchildren Cole, Dylan, Gracie, Shani, and Ty, as well as Sally Roy, Barbara Roy, nieces, nephews, and Rick, Bob (Laura), and Julie (Jad) Krane. Allie attended Saint Paul Academy – Summit School, studied at the Villa Mercedes in Florence, Italy, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1968 with a degree in Art History. Entrepreneurial, hard working, and evolving, Allie opened her own needlepoint shop in St. Paul, successfully sold real estate in Dallas, and worked as a paralegal. Always her family came first, which included her dogs! Allie was also a fine athlete, exceling in tennis and golf. Known for her quick wit and interminable sense of humor, Allie made friends wherever she went, especially on the golf course. She was also an active member of the Church of the Holy Communion and was very proud to be a member of their Altar Guild. Allie felt blessed not just because of her accomplishments and the love of her beautiful family; she truly rejoiced in the Lord. Memorial service and celebration reception will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Church of the Holy Communion, 17405 Muirfield Drive, Dallas, Texas 75287. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
