Biggs, Mickey G.

Mickey Glen Biggs, 68 of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on his terms surrounded by his family on October 6, 2017. Mickey was born the 7th child out of 8 in McKinney, TX to William and Hazel Biggs (nee Ross). His career took him to many great cities all over the U.S. and Canada, but he could not wait to return to his beloved state of Texas. He did so as soon as he was able, to live out his remaining years.

Mickey was a loving, warm, and sincere man of integrity who worked hard for his family. He had the gift of making anyone feel at ease. He was known for his sarcasm, wit and sense of humor, but above all else, he was renowned for his library of corny “dad” jokes. He could tell one with seamless delivery that would elicit a grin from even the most stoic an audience.

When not working or telling jokes, he was a voracious reader. He enjoyed following professional baseball, high school and college football. He was a lover of great food and music filled his world.

He was a tender and devoted husband to his wife Michelle. Their 15 years together was far more rich than mere calendar years. He was an extremely loving and proud father to his family, which includes his daughters Holli McDonald of Arlington, TX, Leslee Randolph of Portland, OR, and Lauren Schwalb of Dallas, TX, and his sons Andrew Anselmo of McKinney, TX, and Patrick Peden of Dallas, TX., whom he raised. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life is scheduled at Christ The King Catholic Church, Preston road Dallas, TX at 7pm on Tuesday 10th of October.

May God bless you and family Michelle through this time of sorrow. I cannot believe Mickey is gone, I find myself thinking of something and starting to pick up the phone and call him. Saying that I loved him just seems like such an understatement. Knowing that he will always be with us is such a comfort .May God be with all of us and granting us his undying love.
