Golston, Rebecca Lynn
Obituary
Rebecca Lynn Golston transitioned from this life and went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. From her birth until her death, Rebecca nourished the people around her. She remained consistent in character, generosity and social graces. She had a quick wit, loved a good laugh, was a consummate hostess and was dedicated in giving of herself. Rebecca was born in Springfield, Ohio. She is survived by her mother Candis Powell and 3 sisters, Vera Manning, Anna Douglas, and Stacie Wester. She was both elegant and disciplined, yet she could also laugh at herself, teaching us the importance of this in a life well lived. She made deep and enduring friendships that she cherished. She had a heart and soul that family and friends will miss deeply. While we are most saddened by her passing, we are also relieved by it because she no longer has to battle cancer. Left to carry Rebecca’s spirit – and we will – are her children, Mitchell Thomas Golston and Athena Marie Smith, her son-in-law, Matthew Smith, her three grandchildren; Makenna, Amiyah, and Matthew Jr.. She will always be remembered as a loving mom and grandmother(MeMe/Bop-Bop) and whose greatest passion was helping others. The memorial service will be held at The Life Church, 18610 Marsh Lane, Dallas TX , on October 22nd at 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
