Obituary
Joseph (Joe) B. Bonner was born on February 24, 1922 in Manitoba Canada. He went to be with the Lord after a brief hospital stay on January 21, 2018. Joe served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2 and worked as a tool maker at Chrysler in Detroit Michigan for 35 years, retiring at the age of 69. He was married to his wife Elizabeth Bonner for 62 wonderful years. As a family they traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada by car, saw the world on cruise ships, and spent many Christmas holidays with the family in Florida. Joe loved to laugh, play cards, and shoot pool with his grandson Kevin and enjoyed taking day trips with his son and friends at Atria. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth Bonner, and siblings, Tony Bonner, Rose Garland Thornton, Peter Sawchuck, and Ted Sawchuck. He is survived by his sons, Brian Bonner and wife Kendra of Lucas TX; and James Bonner and wife Patrice of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Kevin, Elizabeth, Anna, Kristen, Cameron, and Andrew, and loving caretaker Corina Cowden.
