Keeton, Helen L.
Obituary
Helen Louise Keeton born February 19, 1960, in Dallas Texas, passed away January 26, 2018, in Plano, Texas. She was 57. Helen grew up in Garland, Texas, raised with her brothers, Marvin Jr. and John, and sister, Traci. She graduated in 1978 from South Garland High School. She worked many years in child care and health care, and was working at Las Colinas OBGYN at the time of her death. Helen especially enjoyed cooking, reading, spending time with her grandson, and volunteering many years with youth soccer programs and charity golf tournaments. Most recently she had focused on charity benefits for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Alzheimer’s Disease. Helen had an infectious smile, was a second “mom” to many, knew no stranger, and always put others’ needs before her own. She had a kind, gentle soul and treasured time spent with her family and friends. Helen is survived by her husband, Arthur Ray Keeton; son, Christopher Michael Keeton and wife Michelle; grandson, Tyler Keeton; parents, Marvin Vale Riggall and Mary Helen Riggall; brother, Marvin Riggall, Jr. and wife Laura; sister, Traci Warren; and brother, John Riggall and wife Carroll. A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, February 6th, 6:00 pm, at Aria Memorial Chapel, 19310 Preston Road, in Dallas, TX 75252. Because her mother suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, Helen passionately supported finding a cure. The family suggests that you honor Helen with memorial contributions to the Guzman23 Foundation, which provides financial assistance to those suffering from Alzheimer’s, at www.guzman23foundation.com . “You will always be in our hearts”. RIP sweet Helen!! You will be missed by many. Sending your family lots of love from South Africa!!
There are no words that can truly express my condolences for your loss. The only consolation that I can offer is the sure fact that we will see her again someday. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead lives in us. I am grateful to have known my cousin Helen and especially to reconnect with her. She will be missed.
Art: I am so sorry for your loss. Helen was such a wonderful Lady, she will be missed!
Art, I’m so sorry for your loss and I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and may our God keep you strong in this journey.
This was a very, very horrible death and loss to many. My prayer go out to my Son Tyler Keeton, Helen’s only Grandchild she loved and adored! Her son Chris and husband Art as well as the rest of the family. My heart is so broken. I’ll never forget my days and times with Helen! She all ways loved me as a daughter and was there with an open arm and heart! Helen all ways has a way with me and understood me better than any one! She was all ways loving, positive and all ways helped others! She will for ever be in my heart and I will never forget the times we had together! I will miss her dearly and hold onto her spirit! Helen I loved you like my own Mother and you will be missed so Much! Rest in peace with our God now! Watch over Tyler for me! To her family and friends I pray for each of you to have comfort and strength through this very difficult time.
I love you Helen. Thank you for all of your love and friendship. Please say “hello” to my mother. Love, Pam
