Payne, Dante Angelo

Born 59 years ago at Scott AFB, IL, to Harry and Gertrudes Payne, Dante passed away March 10, 2018, in Dallas, TX. He was raised with his siblings Norine Smith, Hilary Payne, Howard Payne, Marie McGovern, David Payne, Teresa Roberts and Tina King. Dante graduated from Niceville High School, Niceville, FL, and made a career in the restaurant industry.

Dante was a sweet, caring and sensitive soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. Everyone who knew him loved him dearly. Dante enjoyed dancing, music, the arts, fashion, going antique shopping and his pet Chi Chi. He loved to celebrate life with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by our mother, Gertrudes Payne, and father, Harry Payne. He is survived by his siblings, their spouses, and extended family and friends.

Per his wishes, he asked that his body be donated to science and cremated, with no memorial service. He would want everyone to joyously celebrate his life. His ashes will be spread across the San Francisco Bay.

If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please choose a charity of your choice

“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count … it’s the life in your years.”

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.'”

It's a sad day for the ones that knew you and I can't believe you're gone. You were the humor, light and laughter of our work family and mine of course, a beautiful soul that will never be forgotten. I will always cherish the memories we had together. You left before we could see each other again in this world but one day we will meet again. May your soul soar high and rest in paradise. I love you so very much.
