Obituary

Mahota Brown, 81, was led by Jesus to the gates of Heaven June 09, 2018 with her family by her side in Wylie, TX. Celebration of life services will tentatively be held in Wichita, KS at Glenville Baptist Church June 30, 2018 @ 10am. (Date and time may possibly be changed.) Mahota was born February 3, 1937 to her mother and father Molly and William Nunn in Mannsville, OK. She lived in Oklahoma until the age of 15 when she moved to California. It was there that she birthed and raised her 5 beautiful children dedicating herself to work hard and provide for them. California would be the next state that most of her surviving family would then be born and raised in. In the early 1990s she moved back to her home state of Oklahoma where her children and grandchildren have fond memories of her with her beloved dogs Binky and Coco and helping her to tend to her garden. In the early 2000s she relocated to live closer to her 4 closest children in the residing state of Kansas. When Mahota wasn’t hard at work she loved to be with her family, her dogs, dancing, gardening and her Budweiser in a bottle at the end of the day. Mahota was proceeded in death at a young age by her mother Molly and father William Nunn. As well as her 3 siblings Agatha Allmon, Bessie Cloniger and Danny Boy. Mahota is survived by 4 of her children in order of birth. Iona Wolfinbarger and her children’s father Butch Wolfinbarger, Sisie Holliday and her husband John Holliday, Butch Brown and his sons mother Julie Charleson and her son Allen Brown. Proceeded in death by her daughter Molly Cox and Jeri Brown. She is survived by her 12 grandchildren and their spouses in order by parents. Teauna Vigil and her husband Michael Vigil, Crystal Swiger proceeded by her husband Thomas (Buddy) Swiger, Sunshine Watson and her husband Jevon Watson, Yvonne Rievley, Misty Doyle and her husband Aaron Doyle, Summer Haga, Destini Seaman and her husband Nathan Seaman, Jaden Holliday, Brandy Furlong and her husband Dave Furlong, Sean Brown and his wife Samantha Brown, Robert Cox and his wife Rhonda Cox, Mo and Michael Flores. Proceeded in death by her grandson Ronnie Wolfinbarger. She was also survived by her great grandchildren 22 great grandchildren, in order by parents listed above. Michael Vigil, Abbey Vigil, Zacharia Swiger, Maxximus Swiger, Christian Ledezma, Saviana Kassab, Brooky Watson, Lila Watson, Soleila Rievley, Lilianna Redman, Dravin Redman, Chase Doyle, Cienna Doyle, Michael Lehr, Josie-Lynn Seaman, Annabella Brown, Aiden Furlong and Ava Furlong, Cori Cox, Tyler Flores, Dillon Flores, Ashly Flores. Proceeded in death by her great grandson Jake Cox. She is also survived by her Great Great Grandchildren in order of parents as listed above Baby Doodle and Dane Flores. She will forever be loved and missed until we are all home with her in Heaven.     There’s so many things I remember about your mother. My whole childhood was wrapped around her and your family. My heart goes out to you all. I loved her so much. It brings peace knowing she is in the arms of Our Lord. And one day we will all be together in heaven. My prayers are with you all.

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."
