Obituary
Joann Borbell, age 57, went home to God on Thursday, June 21, 2018, unexpectedly. She was born October 23, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Vincent & Jean Petrucci. Joann graduated from St. Edmund’s High School and Kingsbough College in 1980 and then moved to Carrollton, TX with her husband and daughter in 1987 where her family was currently residing.
Joann was an employee of Lewisville Independent School District for the past 19 years and most recently was a Technical Support Specialist II where she was awarded 2018 District Employee of the Year! Those who knew “Jo” well; knew she was an avid “Platinum” cruiser; Carnival’s Breeze 2018 Blackjack Champion on their most recent family cruise and loved to travel; especially where there is sand and water. Joann was an active member of Flowermound Church Of Christ. Joann had the biggest heart with a contagious smile and never knew a stranger; she lived life to the fullest and always put her family first.
Joann was survived by her beloved husband of over 32 years, Steve Borbell; daughters, Ashley and Christine “Chrissy” and son, Stephen Borbell; Sister, Donna Glover and husband Mark; nephews, Robert Glover and fiancé Julie Hoang, Christopher Glover; father and mother-in-law, Don & Mary Borbell; sister-In-law, Donna Nicoletti; niece, Tracee Galante and husband, Ricky; nephews, Danny Nicoletti and wife Laura; Andy Nicoletti; great nieces, Isabella Galante, Victoria Nicoletti, Emma Galante; great nephew, Daniel Nicoletti; “fur” grandbabies, Bella, Jamie, and Stevie Borbell.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Vinnie and JeanPetrucci and family.
Celebration of Joann’s life will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11 AM at Garden Ridge Church of Christ, 102 Garden Ridge Blvd, Lewisville, TX 75067.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Walk to end Alzheimer’s.

Joann was such a great person. She will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers for the family as they work through their sorrow.
