Lynda was an Interior Designer for over 30 years in Albuquerque, NM and Plano, Texas. She moved to Texas in 1997 and owned a fine linens retail boutique – barklee Ltd. Lynda loved her work and all the people she got to meet along the way and was a true creative visionary. She was passionate about rescuing dogs her entire adult life and had a soft spot for Wheaten Terriers. She loved to travel and spend time with her daughters. Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Frances “Fritz” Mahaun. Her mother, Lois Mahaun. And her late husband Charles “Jeff” Carter.
She is survived by her two daughters, Melinda L. Carter and Amy B. Carter.
Jeff and Lynda’s ashes are being combined and scattered off the coast of Sanibel island in Florida where they honeymooned. They were married for over 44 years. Lynda was always brave, courageous and a fighter and she did things her way. This was true to the very end!
