Ferdinand, Terry Jon
Obituary
Terry Jon Ferdinand, age 57, of Richardson, Texas, passed away surrounded by family, Sunday, July 8, 2018, after a courageous and faith-filled battle with brain cancer. He was born July 9, 1960 in Fremont, California to John Jack Ferdinand and Lynn (Leiker) Henry. Terry married Jody Patus Houghton in St. Thomas, USVI, on August 24, 2016. Terry was an adventurous, ambitious, hard-working father and husband. He was always quick to smile, tell off-color jokes, and selflessly help others. Terry embraced life with his many activities including boxing, MMA, motorcyling, riding jet skis, and an avid gun enthusiast. He cherished his time with his children, grandaughters, and made a lasting impact on everyone who crossed his path. His many years working as an occupational therapy assistant gave him great joy caring for patients with their healthcare needs. Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Jody; his children, Chantel, Brittany (Bishop), Tanner and Devon Ferdinand; step daughter Lauren Wojcicki; his mother, Lynn; his sister, Jacquelyn Ferdinand; and granddaughter’s Ava Bishop and Willa Wojcicki. The family is so grateful for the love, kindness, and generosity of so many friends, family, and community members who have supported them throughout Terry’s 10 month battle with Glioblastoma. His celebration of life will be held at Faith Presbyterian-Boone T. Pickens Hospice and Pallative Care inside the Spiritual Care Center/Chapel, 12477 Merit Dr., Dallas, TX 75251, Monday, July 23, 2018 at 12pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in honor of Terry to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org Terry touched many lives during his time on earth. He will undoubtedly be missed and always remembered. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
