Obituary
William Edward Wolf died on June 22, 2018 at the age of 82 after a long illness. Bill was born in Meadville, PA the youngest of three children. His family moved to South Carolina when he was a child and he always considered it home. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in accounting. After college, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service in the Audit Division, mostly in management, until he retired after 37 years of service. Bill was a kind and generous man; a gentle soul, he loved his family, animals, and traveling. He will be missed by everybody who knew him and loved him. Growing up he was active in scouting and was an Eagle Scout. He served for three years in the Army Security Agency, most of it in Germany where he met his wife Maria. They were married in Springwood, SC in 1958. Bill was a long-time volunteer at Medical City of Plano, and he also volunteered at the Second Chance SPCA in Plano, until his health would not allow is any longer. Bill’s parents Edward Leo and Grace Peterson Wolf predeceased him, as did his sister Grayce Harrell. He survived by his wife, Maria of Plano, TX; his son, Robert M. Wolf of Oak Ridge, TN and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ted M. Wolf of Greenwood, SC and Maria’s family in Germany and Brazil. Bill was a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Plano were a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Bill’s memory to Parkinson Voice Project, 646 Coit Rd., Suite 2250, Richardson, TX 75080 or Second Chance SPCA 1700 J Ave., Plano, TX 75074. It will be greatly appreciated. “Lord take back the soul of Bill Wolf, whom you have shared with us.
