Obituary
Christopher (“Chris”, “Poppy”) Stephen Leaman was born February 18, 1950 to Eli and Zanaida Marullo Leaman and passed away on August 8, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas at age 68. Chris grew up in Bellaire, Texas with his siblings Bob, Richard, Philip, Zanaida, and Eddie. He worked as a mechanic for 40 years. He loved his family, rescue kitties Ming, Jack, and Jade, his work buddies at S & H Equipment, motorcycles, SOL Beer, Cabo San Lucas, and the Dallas Cowboys. Chris was quiet and laid back, kind and generous, and loved by everyone who knew him. He was extremely proud of his “Barbeque King” title. Chris is preceded in death by his parents Eli Leaman, and Zanaida Marullo Leaman, and brothers, Bobby and Richard. He is survived by his wife Carla, Son Luke Leaman, Stepdaughter Kelly Collins, grandaughter Ryan Wallace, Brother Philip and family, Sister Zanaida (Bubi) and family, Eddie Marullo and family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Per Chris’s request, family will scatter his ashes in Galveston where he was born. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to North Texas Food Bank or Operation Kindness.
