Obituary
John T. “Jack” Richards was born May 29, 1940 in Youngstown, OH to Joseph and Priscilla Brazitsky Richards. He passed away suddenly on September 16, 2018. His career was in finance, having worked in banks, loan offices and Mortgage Companies. He was of the Catholic faith but was very active in the UU First Church of Dallas. He loved Doo-wop music, doing magic, entertaining children, being a clown for charity events and war history. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps for 6 years during the Vietnam era. He was stationed in Japan. He married Janice Langford in 1961 and they had two children, Gayla and Chris. In 1989 he married Patricia Marble and became a vital part of her and her families’ lives until his death. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Richards; daughter, Gayla Richards Bondie and her children, Melody Wolford Chastain Sutton, Brian Bondie and Hannah Bondie ; son, Christopher Warren Richards and wife, Shaye and their daughters, Alyson and Madelyn Richards; stepdaughter, Audra Marble Johnson Hermanns and husband, Tom and her children, Austin Johnson and Madison Johnson; Erika Marble and Daughter-in-law, Jennifer Baker and their children, Bryce Hale and wife, Lauren, Cameron Hale and Lindsey Marble Baker; and 5 Great Grandchildren. Additionally he is survived by two brothers, Dennis Richards and his wife Cheryl; Ronald Richards and his wife Tammy plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Timothy Richards and sister, Joan Richards Campolito. A private family service will be conducted in line with his wishes.
