Foiles, Brandy Shay
Obituary
Brandy Foiles, or Shay as she was known by those close to her, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2018 after an incredibly brave battle she fought against long term illness. She is survived most closely by the two people for whom she fought so bravely – John, her fiancé who steadfastly stood with her for better or worse and in illness and health, and her loving daughter Briana – the beacon of Shay’s life and hope for the future. In the brief time we were blessed to have her, Shay touched many of our lives in so many ways. She was a person who focused on the many wonders of life, but always had an eye toward a better future for us all. Even though she has moved on to a greater reward, she will always be there for those for whom she truly cared and will always be with them. She is loved and will be missed, but never forgotten. Never Alone By Shay Foiles (12-21-1998) I sit faraway and alone, Though I feel I am safe inside. I looked at the sky, And I saw the heavens open up And the sun flooded my face. It flooded me with happiness, With love, with joy I had not felt in so long. I was once again able to smile and see the beauty in you, me, in everything… It was your face and your love That brought sunshine upon my face I may sit by myself, but with you in my heart, I will never be alone. Please accept our deepest condolences in your time of loss. You are in our payers.
I can’t believe I have to send this. With all my love, with all my heart and tears…goodbye.
I had the honor of meeting Shay when I was working as the floral manager at the Tom Thumb in Richardson. We had an instant spiritual connection. She left an incredible mark on me, and I was very emotionally moved by her. Although I only knew her for a short time, she blessed me more than you can ever imagine. She was an inspiration to me and will continue to be. May God be with you during your time of loss, but take comfort that she is no longer in pain and rejoicing in Heaven.
I’ve known Shay since about 2005. We were both active in the Dallas poetry scene at the same time, and grew a friendship thru the years. My sincerest condolences to her daughter, who she always spoke of with such love and devotion, and to her family, whom she was always able to count on to support her. I will feel her loss deeply.
Brandy was always very special to me. We have known each other for very many years and I have loved her since the day we met. My heart goes out to her family and friends. YOU WILL BE MISSED more than I can put into words. I love you Brandy!!
Shay had a wonderful soul, very caring, and despite the persistent illnesses, never gave up and always found a reason to smile. she will be missed.
All I can do is sit here and shake my head while thinking of all the friends from Hanahan that have been taken too early! There has to be a purpose and it better be a good one. Miss our chats;( sj
