Wingard, Kimberly A.
Obituary
Kimberly Ann Wingard passed away on February 2, 2019 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 54. She is survived by her two beloved children, Isaac Wingard and Daniel Wingard. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Kathleen Nussbaum-Lingle and Kelly Woollett. Other survivors include her niece Kelsey Nussbaum, nephew Parker Nussbaum and brother-in-law Matthew Lingle. Kimberly was born in Sacramento, California on August 8, 1964 to Bruce Woollett and Margaret Woollett (née Olson) who both preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her brother Rob Woollett, to whom she was only 18 months his junior. After spending her early youth in California, Kimberly moved to Plano, Texas in 1974 where she graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1982. She went on to attend college at SMU before getting her undergraduate degree at UNT in Business Administration. She later obtained her master’s degree in Business at UTD. After graduation, Kimberly entered the business world, most notably working in the HR Department at ARCO Oil where she helped relocate employees to Texas. There she was so well-liked that many of the employees she assisted became close friends. After the birth of her 2nd child, Kimberly decided to leave her career behind and become a stay-at-home Mom. Kimberly had a generous spirit and possessed a loving heart. She had a life-long love for animals. At the time of her passing, she had five furry family members who were spoiled rotten. However, what Kim loved the most was her family, especially her two children Isaac and Daniel. She loved and protected them fiercely. They were the driving force behind everything she did. With a joy for life and a desire to have fun in any situation, Kimberly charmed all those around her. Known for her beautiful green eyes, her sharp mind and her deep laugh, she will be remembered and missed immensely by her loved ones. Services for Kimberly Wingard will take place at St. Marks Catholic Church in Plano on February 22nd at 11:00 a.m. There will be a reception following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Kimberly’s name to the St. Marks Rosary Makers, Operation Kindness or the World Wildlife Fund.

A devastating loss for all. We pray for comfort and healing for Kimber’s loved ones. much love from us
She was the best mom I could have asked for, and truly did everything for us. You deserve everything and more mom, I hope you are at peace.
Few people have ever got me into so much trouble or allowed me to have so much fun in my life. It’s so sad that your earthly life is over. I won’t see you again. That blows my mind. You loved to joke with me. It gave you delight that I was dating but you cautioned me to find someone very patient. I did and he is my lifelong love. I hope you will continue to be a force for good in your new life with Jesus for those you have left behind. I wish I had known you decided to become Catholic. I am glad you are HOme with Rob and your Mom. I am glad Kelly was there with Our Lady to give you a wonderful send off. I miss you Kymberly. Thank you for your wit and encouragement. So much more to say . . . Love Eileen
My heart goes out to Kim’s family. She was a dear friend to me in high school and I regret we lost contact after college. She was such a sweet and caring soul.
I am so sorry to hear of this. I was friends with her brother Rob in school. Sending prayers for her family.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn’t know Kimberly very well but I was best friends with Rob during high school and up to the time he went away to college. I remember attending her wedding.. Many prayers going out to your family
My deepest condolences to the entire family! It was just a year ago that we lost your mom Margaret! I remember so many parties at your parents house with you,Rob,Kelly & Kathy…so much laughter, food & games played! If you didn’t like sharades, to bad, you were going to play. You mirrored your mom in such positive ways including your career path, I admired that about you! You were a delight to be around and to talk with when you weren’t giving reasons for laughter. You will truely be missed but I know your at peace with your brother Rob & your parents now.
We went all the way through school together in Plano. I remember Kimberly as gentle, kind and beautiful. I’m so very sorry for your family to have lost her so soon.
I’m so heartbroken that you have left us here on earth so soon. I will always cherish the times we had together. Oh my goodness, the fun we had! Kim m’ Kim, Kim squared, The Kimsters, Kim 1 and Kim 2…I think your favorite was “Beach Girl”. I will never forget the trips we took together by car or plane! Thanksgivings and Christmas’s over the years. Thank you for being such a big part of my life. We held to the promise that we’d do anything for each other. I still would. I have zero doubt that you are now in the arms of a really loving God, surrounded by other Angels. Kelly and Kathy plus all children, I am holding you all close in prayer for light and healing. All my love, Kim Mammel
