Obituary
Addison, Ella Frances Hicks Frances, went home on August 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jack J. Addison in 1994 after a marriage of 44 years. Frances was born in Gainesville, TX on June 28, 1925 to Sula Mae Gilliam and Virgil Clair Hicks. She graduated from Gainesville High School then from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 and became a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp. Frances was active in White Rock Methodist Church’s Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women for many years. She was president of the Auxiliary to the Dallas County Dental Society and the Senior Mother at Woodrow Wilson HS in 1971. Frances is survived by her children, Steve and his wife, Marilyn; Suzanne; Marlin and wife Jennifer; Marshall and his wife Carol. She has seven grandchildren: Kelley, Lauren, Scott, Courtney, Whitney, Kristen, and Taylor. Frances has 3 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was loved and admired by her family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, at 11 am in the Sanctuary of White Rock United Methodist Church, 1450 Old Gate Ln, Dallas, TX, 75218. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to White Rock United Methodist Church or Doctors Without Borders .
