Obituary
David A. Fantin of Garland, Texas died September 20, 2014. He was born in Lorain, Ohio to Frank and Maria Fantin on September 11, 1935. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1953 and attended John Carroll University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He served in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Captain. He spent virtually all his working career at the Ford Motor Company and retired as the Controller of the Michigan Truck Plant. In retirement, he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and various church organizations. He enjoyed Bible Study, long daily walks, flower gardening, and sports.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jane to whom he was married for 57 years, his three sons, Joseph, Gregory, and Mark, and his six beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters Mary Jane Thomas, Teresa Schrenkel, twin sisters Anna Kostyo and Joanna Walbom, and Virginia Glass.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garland with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain Ohio.
