Obituary
Ferris Tate, age 71, of Celeste, passed away on Friday December 12, 2014. Mr. Tate was born on April 6, 1943 in Rockwall County, Texas to William Andrew and Trudie Onie Smith Tate. Mr. Tate attended the Baptist church. He was a carpenter and an electrician. In life, he loved many things. He was a true outdoorsman who always felt at home in the woods. He loved to hunt. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved animals, especially his horse Tomahawk. He is survived by his wife, Susan Tate of Celeste; his daughter, Melanie Droblyn of Celeste; grand-children: Holly, Bridget, Jessica, Nevaeh, Tateum and Gunner; nieces, Shaney Tate and husband James, Deidre Tate McGinn and husband Matt; great nieces and nephews: Ryan, Jordan, Adreanna, Ashley, Jessica and Kassidy; a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Thursday at the IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills, Texas, Rev. Shane Davis officiating. Aria Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of services. Kenny Collins, Funeral Director.
