Allen, Dolores G.
Obituary
Dolores Grace Allen was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 19, 1922. She died of heart complications at Baylor Hospital in Plano on May 11, 2015 at the age of 92. She is survived by her son Richard Rossman, daughter-in-law Sally Rossman and the love of her life, her granddaughter Jacalyn Rossman. She is also survived by her brother Robert Manfredi and two loving cousins Linda McDonald and Barbara Massaro and their families. Dolores was a loyal employee of Exxon Oil Corporation, she retired in 1982. She moved to Houston from New York in 1961 when she was selected as one of only three executive secretaries to make the corporate move from Rockefeller Center to downtown Houston. Dolores moved to Dallas in 1988 to stay close to her son and his family. She was a primary caregiver to her special needs granddaughter and contributed untold time to her care and well-being. As her friends know Doris was a restless sole and moved several times during her stay in Dallas, just one week before her death she moved into a new apartment which she loved. There will not be a service, her ashes will be scattered to the wind from which once she came. Doris will be missed by all who knew her.
