Melton, Korine K.
Obituary
Korine Kay “Korey” Melton, 53, of Allen, TX, passed away on November 29. Treasured by her family and friends, Korine was known for her infectious smile, tight hugs, humor, love and generosity. Born in Midland, MI to Delton and Fay Roach, Korine was an avid horse lover, spending any free time she could in the saddle. Korine worked for several years for the U.S. Department of Defense in the late 1980’s. On October 11, 1996, Korine married Lane G. Melton Jr. After their move to Texas, she spent time working at various retail locations, such as True Value Hardware and McDonnell Building Materials. Everywhere she went she turned friends in to family. In recent years, medical reasons kept her from horse riding, but they did not hamper her generous spirit for others or her love of caring for horses. Korine continued to exercise her generosity into her final days. She had a loving heart and treated everyone as family. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her husband, Lane Melton Jr. of Allen, TX; her four children, Krystal Melton, Neil Saiid, Lane Melton III, and Katelyn Reiss; her siblings, Kim Roach, Dody Robertson and Kenny Roach; and parents, Delton and Fay Roach. Two memorial services are planned to celebrate Korine’s life. One in Allen, TX in January 2016 and one in Gladwin, MI in May 2016. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
