Obituary
James M. Burtt Sr. (Max), 77, passed away July 4th 2018. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Per his wishes, cremation rights were accorded. He will be interned at the Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery at 11:30 am September 7th 2018. Max was born July 17, 1940 in Burtts Corner, New Brunswick, Canada to Arthur and Aletha Burtt. Max grew up in South Portland, ME. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Clifton and brother-in-law Gus Amodeo. He is survived by his son Jay (Tracy) Burtt of Gray, ME, and Celebration FL, and daughter Lynne (Lynn) Fassig of Garland, TX. Four grandchildren Jeremy (Makayla) Burtt and DeLaney Burtt of Celebration, FL and Jason Fassig and Justin Fassig of Garland TX. One great grandchild, Evelyn Burtt of Celebration FL and a sister, Kay Amodeo of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the following charity: Wolfwood Refuge or to the donor’s choice. Wolves were Max’s favorite animal. Max was an avid outdoors-man who loved camping, hiking, photography and auto racing.”

Max was like a brother to me. He will remain in my heart. Love sent to his family, with special thanks to his caregiver daughter Lynne.
