Collins, Anne B.
Obituary
Anne B. Collins, born February 2, 1926, left this earth on July 4, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry D. Collins and his children Ron Collins and wife Kathy, Kenny Collins, and Karen Collins. She is also survived by her daughter Leslie Clark and her husband John. Grandchildren are Parker Collins and Cynthia Paneitz; great grandchildren are Oliver and Maizy Paneitz and Lauren Collins. She is also survived by her nieces Molly, Sloan and Amy, and her beloved cousins, Melinda Blaylock, Suchi Benjamin, Mary Anna Dennard, Bobby Yeager, Brooks Yeager, Fabian Yeager, and John Yeager. The family appreciates the love and attention given by Mena Mamo and other caregivers, to both Anne and Larry to make their life better, happier and more comfortable at home. Anne was a lover of all things beautiful, appreciating the grace of a simple petal of a flower, or the taste of rich dark chocolate, or the mastery of a well executed dance step. The sound of her laughter was infectious, inspiring many tears of joy and happiness to all who surrounded her. She was a strong advocate of the teachings of Father Taliaferro, and wanted all of us to know that “the body is just a suitcase for the soul” and that we should rejoice that her spirit has risen with great fanfare and 4th of July fireworks. We will all miss her as we applaud her ascent into the light. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation in her name could be made to a charity of choice.
