Obituary
Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, June 20, 1938, passed away peacefully Sunday , October 28, 2018 of Parkinson’s disease. Roy attended Texas High School and was an Eagle Scout and member of Order of the Arrow. He graduated from SMU with a mechanical engineering degree and was a member and President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He graduated from the Wharton School with a MBA. Roy was President of Herman Blum Co. and Founding Director of Abrams Centre National Bank. He also was with Rader Companies and Southern Methodist University. He enjoyed a business career which included development and management of commercial real estate, banking, consulting and construction. He was a charter member and President of the Board of Governors at Royal Oaks Country Club, served multiple terms on the University Park Board of Adjustment, served on Associate Board of SMU Cox School of Business and was a Life Member of the Board of The Child Care Group. He was an avid skier and lifelong golfer with 4 holes in one. He is survived by wife Susan Hardy Kull, daughter Emily Kull Monaco and husband Robert, sister-in-law Sally Kull and nephews John and Jimmy Kull, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Rosemary Hardy and niece Susan Hardy Owens and nephew Matthew Hardy and many other loving family members.
A Memorial service will be held at Highland Park Methodist Church at 10 AM Thursday, November 1, 2018.
