Hayden Michael Smallwood at the age of 17 passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday March 12 from Osteosarcoma, Bone Cancer. The funeral service will be held from 1:00-3:00 on Wednesday March 16 at the First Baptist Church of Denton. Pastor Sam Redfearn of First Baptist Church of Krugerville will be officiating. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Denton from 5-8 on Tuesday March 15. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gateway Funerals and Cremation. Hayden was born in Gainesville, Texas on April 30, 1998. He graduated from Denton High School. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, music and hanging out with friends. Hayden is survived by his parents, Keith and Heather Smallwood. His sisters Hailey and Amy Terrell and brother Luke. His grandmothers Sue Lemons and Patricia Smallwood. He had many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great-grandparents and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Cook Children's Medical Center to send donations to 801 7th Ave. Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
