Obituary

Leticia (Leti) Vega Altman Adams, died peacefully in her home on November 29, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. Leti was diagnosed with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) in February of 2016. The disease took a strong hold on her life and she fought it with every ounce of her strength, until it took her at the age of 59. Leti was born in Los Angeles, California in 1960 and was raised in El Paso, Texas. After graduating college from U.T. El Paso in 1984 with a degree in Psychology she moved to Dallas, and later lived in San Diego and Austin, before settling permanently in Dallas. She always said her heart was in California, but her spirit was in Texas. She married Brian Adams on July 11, 1998, in Dallas. She was a patient's advocate in health care for 30 years and had a caring passion for others. She had a heart as big as Texas and chose to live a life of servitude. Leti's infectious laugh brought smiles to everyone around her. She never met a stranger and left an endearing impression on everyone she met. She had an unbelievable knack of finding and talking to celebrities without the least bit of hesitation. She told corny jokes that often made her laugh more than others, but that was the beauty of her personality. She had a passion for dance, music, art, poetry, photography, decorating, and celebrating life. She is survived by her husband Brian Adams of Dallas; son Matthew Altman of Los Angeles CA; mother Carmen Vega of El Paso; and five brothers: Richard Vega (Irene), Robert Vega, Roger Vega (Rose Mary), Ron Vega, and Ray Vega; and, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Ricardo Vega.
