Obituary

Alan Wayne Snowden, born on March 19, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 25, 2024. Alan was the beloved son of Curtis and Loreta Snowden, who preceded him in death.

A 1972 graduate of Skyline High School, Alan was a natural-born salesman, spending his life working in various industries where his personable nature and keen salesmanship left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a man of many passions, with a deep love for reading and old western movies. Clive Cussler, Dylan Thomas, and Tom Clancy were among his favorite authors. Alan had a particular interest in World War II history and a knack for discussing politics.

Alan is survived by his three children: Alan Roy Snowden, Chelsea Evans, and Carolyn Quinlan. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Samantha Snowden, and his sons-in-law, James Evans and Dennis Quinlan. Alan was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Ayla, Jensen, and Finley Snowden; Logan, Cory, and Brayden Evans; and Maddyn and Rory Quinlan. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Snowden, and the mother of his children, Nedith Snowden.

A wake and celebration of Alan's life will be held for family and friends on October 8, 2024 at 2:00p.m. at Lakepointe Church East Dallas (9150 Garland Rd) in the Bryan room/parlor.

Alan will be remembered for his witty personality, his love of history and literature, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family and the countless memories they will cherish forever.
