Alice Thresia Denyer Clifton, 95, of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully at Washington Pointe Assisted Living in Irving, TX, on June 24, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Alice was born in Galveston, TX, on June 22, 1931, to William and Thresia Denyer. She loved playing tennis (even meeting her husband Herbert while playing), golf where she was Club Champion twice, and Bridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Oliver Denyer; husband of 65 years, Herbert Clifton; daughter, Michele Voelker; and grandson, Carson Messimer.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Paula Messimer and her husband Alan; grandchildren Garrett and his wife Andrea, Katie and her husband Chad, and Allison; great grandchildren, Kacen, Emma, Amelia, and Max; and friend, Beverly Kirkpatrick.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at Hackberry Creek Church (2000 Kinwest Pkwy, Irving, TX 75063) on Saturday, July 18 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alice’s memory to Hackberry Creek Church.
