Obituary

Alina Vilensky, a gifted cellist, devoted partner, and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 92. Her life was a symphony of grace, passion, and unwavering love.

Born in Moscow, Alina discovered her love for music at an early age and eventually dedicated her life to the cello. Her artistry resonated in concert halls and hearts alike, captivating audiences with performances that blended technical mastery with deep emotional expression. She was not only an accomplished professional cellist but also a mentor and inspiration to countless young musicians.

Beyond her musical achievements, Alina was the heart of her family. She joins her devoted husband of 49 years, Eduard, whose partnership was a testament to enduring love and shared dreams. Together, they built a life rich in laughter, compassion, and mutual respect.

She is also survived by her two children, Mikhail and Alexander, and three cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel, and Natalie, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness, creativity, and resilience. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle strength will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

A private memorial will be held with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Alina's lifelong dedication to the arts.

Her music may have quieted, but the echoes of her love and brilliance will play on in all who knew her.
