A bright light in the world was extinguished on Tuesday, September 22nd at 12:23 PM when Mary Lou Allen finally lost her long battle with illness. She was adored by many and survived by her mother Barbara June Gentry, brothers Lindell Ray Gentry III and Johnny Phillip Sifford, children Lauren Glynn Allen and John Tristan Allen, daughter-in-law Jacqueline Elizabeth Allen, and their children, Mary's beloved grandchildren, Gavin Layne Culver and Emma Rose Allen, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and patients. She was preceded in death by her loving father Lindell Ray Gentry II, uncles Michael Carroll Gentry and William Francis "Butch" Mann. Born December 20th, 1966, in Big Spring, Texas, Mary was a nurse, a caregiver and friend to many. She graduated from Tarrant County Junior College with a degree in Nursing, which she used for many years after in her career as a Registered Nurse to bring wellness and light to people's lives. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 26th at North Dallas Funeral Chapel at 2710 Valley View Ln., Dallas, TX 75234. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mary Allen Memorial Fund. Not a day will go by that Mary will not be missed by the many people who loved her. The mark she left on this world cannot be overstated. We love you, Mom.
