Allen Majefski was a passionate man who gave 100%. It is how he loved his family, with all his heart and soul. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow up, attend school and play sports. He was often the loudest cheerleader at their games. He cherished his dogs, Casey and Happy, who brought him great comfort.
We all know his love of playing pool, but the two things that would get him out of bed early were golf and fishing. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He loved to learn and try new things. Always ready to engage in lively discussions on politics and current events, Allen enjoyed a good challenge.
Allen never met a stranger. He was warm, caring and inquisitive. He was a mentor and good friend to many people throughout his life. Teaching and sharing his knowledge brought him joy. The experiences of traveling to new places here and abroad, often with friends, enhanced his learning.
Having lived all over the United States as his career in the jewelry business progressed, when it came time to sell his independent jewelry store of 22 years in Jacksonville, Florida, Allen and Lynne moved back to Dallas to be with family.
A truly Renaissance man, Allen had numerous interests. Caring for his bonsai trees, playing the trumpet, learning to paint and listening to music were some of them. In addition, he collected Native American artifacts, coins and sculptures.
Allen was born January 7, 1947, the second son to Dorothy and Simon Majefski. He was raised in Texas and had that "I can do it" spirit. He passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024 after a short battle with an aggressive cancer. He was 77 years old. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, his daughters, Linda and Shanti, son in law, Thomas Martinez, and grandchildren, Marley and Miles Martinez.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Allen's name to the Greenhill School, Dallas, Fulton Family Financial Aid Fund. In doing so you will help children who otherwise could not afford such a great education.
