Family and friends of Rebecca Mallicote Anderson will gather at the First United Methodist Church, in downtown Dallas, to celebrate her life on Saturday, March 1. The memorial service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in the church's main sanctuary.

Rebecca died in her northeast Dallas residence on Wednesday, February 5, of an apparent heart attack. She was 53 years old.

Born in Jacksonville, Texas, Rebecca was raised in Richardson, where she attended the Richardson public schools. She attended high school at San Marcus Academy, where she was a Senior Class Favorite. She was active in the choir and played on the girls' basketball and volleyball teams.

After graduating from Hill County Junior College, Becky lived and worked in the Dallas area.

She is survived by her mother, Joy Maness Mallicote, her father, Michael Thomas Mallicote, and first cousins, Debbie Downs and Amanda Downs of Reklaw, Texas.
