Donald Eugene Andrew Born June 10, 1943 Died May 21, 2014 Don was the first-born child of Sherman Albert and Althea Pearl Dorr Andrew. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri and graduation from Roytown High School. He was an active member of his church and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His family moved to Dallas in 1961 and Don attended University of North Texas in Denton to study architecture. After college, he joined the navy and served four years in Corpus Christi, Texas. Don began a 40-year career in sales. He thoroughly enjoyed his work, his coworkers, and made life-long friends with some of his customers. Don loved sports. He was on his college tennis and golf teams. He loved the outdoors - particularly hiking, camping and fly fishing. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and watched all their games. He supported the Mavericks and the Rangers as well. Don is preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents. He is survived by his wife Merlene; daughter Donna Jones and her husband Mike Jones, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; sister Joyce Boykin; sister Shirley White, brother William Andrew; and nephew, Joshua Andrew. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
