Andrew Hammond Longyear, 63, passed away in his Dallas home on October 22, 2024, after suffering for many years from neurological disease CIDP.

He grew up in Glen Head and Manhasset on Long Island, New York, graduated from Manhasset High School, Attended the University of Denver, and graduated from Hofstra University, Garden City, Long Island, New York. He worked as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser in Dallas before being disabled by CIDP. He then turned to art which he created for his own pleasure. He was married and divorce from Carolina Anrubio but remained close to her to the present.

Andrew was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He loved his extended family of Aunts, uncles and cousins and was a generous and loyal friend. He is survived by his parents, Russell and Miriam Longyear, sister Marcy and husband Roger Martin, nephew Paul and niece Emily Martin.

Memorial service plans are to be determined. Contributions in Andrew's memory can be made to GBS/CIDP Foundation International.
