In Loving Memory of Anita Louise Causey

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Anita Louise Causey. Anita departed this world peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.

Anita was born on June 16, 1939, in Mt. Kisco, New York, to her late parents, Kenneth James Curren and Edna Bernice Phillips. She was raised in Tavares, Florida, and attended the University of Florida as a Music Major.

Anita's life was a testament to love and dedication. She married her college sweetheart, David Lee Causey, and together, they raised five children over their 63-year marriage.

Her love for her family was evident in her every action, and her passion for gardening, collecting heirloom dolls, and gifting them to hundreds of people reflected her kindness and generosity.

Anita's impact on people was profound. Her kind and loving nature, vibrant soul, and ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met are testaments to the person she was. Her loss has created a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In this challenging time, we ask you to keep Anita's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers and to find comfort and resilience in the memories they shared and the legacy she has left behind.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Causey; her father and mother, Kenneth James Curren and Edna Bernice Phillips; and her daughter, Lisa Causey. She is survived by her five children: Debbie Causey, Candy Causey Frazier (Dan), David L. Causey, Jr. (Karen), Clint Causey (Amy), and Alisha Causey Smith (Loren); her 12 grandchildren: Heather Causey, Hannah Causey Elkins (Jake), Preston Branson (Callie), Kacie Branson, Landon Branson, Camala Branson, Brandon Causey (Abby), Jacob Causey (Faith), Hannah Causey, Tyler Smith, Zackery Smith, and Ryan Smith; and one great-grandchild, Maverik Branson.

By Anita's wishes, there will be no public service. A private family celebration of life, a time for intimate reflection and remembrance, will be held. The family appreciates your understanding and asks that you keep Anita in your thoughts.

As we mourn the loss of an exceptional woman, let us celebrate her life and her positive influence on many lives. Anita's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
