Obituary

Ross Elder Anthony born April 1, 1917 in Kittanning, PA has passed away May 29, 2013 in Plano, TX. Ross is survived by his wife, Edith F. Anthony; Daughter, Marsha E. Maloney; Son, Thomas L. Anthony; Daughter, Sharon K. Walter; Son-in-Law, Eric Walter; Son, Richard R. Anthony; Daughter-in-Law Sally Anthony; Daughter, June M. Roden; Son-in-Law, Philip Roden; 8 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Daughter-in-Law Cindy Anthony. Ross had celebrated his 67 anniversary this year, to his wife Edith, whom he met while both were serving in the Navy during WWII. Ross made a loving home for his wife and children in Redford Township, MI for 52 years. Ross and Edith have spent the last 14 years living in their own home in Frisco, TX. Ross graduated from The University of Detroit and was a treasurer for Aarco Industries and retired at 80 years of age from Link Engineering as a comptroller. In the words of his oldest Grand-daughter, Sarah Santala, "A great man. A devoted spouse, father, grandfather, and friend. 67 years of marriage. A man that understood the words commitment and family. 96 years of a beautiful life. You will be missed Grandpa. Thank you for teaching me so, so much. I will love you." A memorial service will be held at Rejoice Lutheran Church, Friday June 7th at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Rejoice Lutheran Church 12000 Independence Parkway, Frisco, TX 75035.
