Obituary

Judith Armstrong, 68, of Plano, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2019. She was born to parents, Mary Andrews and Frederick Andrews, on September 16, 1951, in Watford, England. She graduated from William Penn School in Rickmansworth, England, in 1967. She went on to secretarial school at Cassio College in Watford, England. Judith worked as a legal secretary for a number of years, she was a wonderful mother to two children, and she was a supervisor at Kohl's Department Store. After 19 years years of service, she retired from Kohls Department Store in 2019. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, reading, playing poker with her girlfriends, watching movies at The Angelika, British humor, solving puzzles and crossword puzzles, and spending time with her husband of 44 years. Judith met Mark Armstrong in 1974, in Stuttgart, Germany, where Mark was an NCO and Judith worked as a secretary at the U.S. Army base. They were married on June 14, 1975 in Rickmansworth, England. Together they raised two children: Stephen Armstrong and Catherine Armstrong. Judith is survived by Mark Armstrong, husband; Stephen Armstrong, son; Catherine Armstrong, daughter; Natalie Armstrong, granddaughter; Christine Cunningham, sister; and Barbara Lewis, sister. She was preceded in death by Frederick Andrews, father; Mary Andrews, mother; and Susan Curran, sister. A Memorial Service will be held on January 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church located at 3101 Coit Rd, Plano, TX 75075. A reception will follow at Christ United Methodist Church. Pastor Mike Flynn will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Minnies Food Pantry, North Texas Food Bank, and SPCA of Plano. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
